Android for Nook Color and Tablet We are Nook Color enthusiasts just like you.  We have spent many hours tinkering with custom ROMs (3rd party versions of the Android operating system) and the different booting options.  We believe the the AndroidForNook cards are configured with the best version of Android available for the Nook and the dual-boot-up method we have incorporated is the most convenient and simplest way to enjoy your Nook e-reader as an Android tablet. 

We also own traditional android tablets costing hundreds of dollars more than the Nook Color.  After converting our Nook Colors to Android tablets using the AndroidForNook cards,  we hardly use the bulkier tablets.  It makes sense to convert our Nooks to Android, and using the dual-boot micro SD cards means we don't lose the functionality of the Nook reader and we gain so much more with the Android operating system. Best of all, with the dual-boot setup we don't have to remove our micro sd cards when we want to use the Nook e-reader - just reboot!

We don't exactly develop ROMs here at AndroidForNook, but we spend a lot of time customizing them to give you a more enjoyable Android experience with your Nook.  Also, we have partnered with an Android developer to support our products, further customize them and help us create exciting new products.  This website started out as a single classified ad to sell an extra SD card laying around which had CM7 installed.  Demand exceeded supply -  the lucky buyer (now a good friend) was grateful for the service since he was struggling to create his own card, and gently persuaded us to sell more.   So, that's how it started - we decided to offer this service to people, like him, who either don't have the time or don't want to spend it, or can't quite get the hang of preparing an image for their own cards.

AndroidForNook.com exists because it's fun - it's gratifying to know that our efforts are enabling others to get the most out of their Nook Color. This isn't going to last forever, because in a couple years your Nook will probably be replaced by some implant under your skin that will connect you to the world and you'll instantly know everything you ever needed to know and then teachers and professors will be out of a job, and it'll start raining dogs and cats, and well, you get the picture. Until then, when you finally put your Nook under one leg of your table to keep it from wobbling, we at AndroidForNook will be around to support those who buy our cards.
